(A) Optical images of original PDA and β-CD conjugated PDAs at room temperature after the addition of 20 amino acids. Each cell contained 96 μL of 1 mM PDA or 6 PCD β-CD (3 PCD β-CD): PDA (1:9 mole ratio). The total amino acid concentration was 4 mM.
