(C) Western blotting analysis of NEP expression in primary hippocampal neuron cultures treated with 50 ng/ml recombinant soluble type I NRG1 and soluble type III NRG1, respectively. β-actin was used for loading control. Normalized levels of NEP show a marked increase of NEP by NRG1/I and NRG1/III. The results were expressed as mean ± SEM. **p < 0.01;***p < 0.0005.
