Microorganisms accelerate the agglutination of Aβ1-42.

Thioflavin fluorescence (Ex 450 nm, Em 484 nm) was monitored for 6 h at 37 °C in solutions of 160 μg/ml Aβ1-42 in PBS. Each measurement was corrected for the fluorescence in absence of Aβ1-42. Blank corrected Relative fluorescence units (RFU) are depicted in (A) whereas the change of RFU in relation to the first measurement at t0 is graphed in (B).
