Clustering and heat map of cell types’ gene expression profiles.
Dendrogram and unsupervised hierarchical clustering heat map of cell types (2 replicates each), using uncentered Pearson correlation and centroid linkage. The vertical distances on each branch of the dendrogram represent the degree of similarity between cell types’ gene expression profiles. 18,439 genes expressed above 1 FPKM in at least one sample were analyzed with Gene Cluster 3.0 and visualized with Java Treeview 1.1.6r4 (expression level is color coded: red for over-expressed, black for unchanged expression and green for under-expressed genes).
