(C) The levels of 125I-PrPSc expressed by unit cell number in whole blood. 125I-PrPSc was administered at 1 × 106 cpm in each route. Plasma, buffy coat (PBMC), and RBC fractions were freshly separated by Ficoll and TCA precipitable radioactivity was measured. Total radioactivity of intact 125I-PrPSc in whole blood was defined as 100%, and fractional percentage was calculated for each fraction. Statistical evaluation was performed with One-way ANOVA followed by Neuman-Keuls post-hoc test. **P < 0.01, and ***P < 0.001. Mean values with standard error terms are presented. (n = 3–4).
