Germfree mice were colonized with either antibiotic treated (AB) or untreated control (CT) microbiota. A combination of polymyxin B and neomycin was added to drinking water of DIO mice and caecal microbiota of a treated and untreated mouse were selected as microbiota donor. The microbiota recipients (AB-R and CT-R) were challenged with HF feeding and oral glucose tolerance was evaluated at week 7. Blood glucose (a) and plasma insulin (b) concentrations are shown and inserts are the area under glucose or insulin curve, respectively.
