The amount of CNSL exposed during nut cracking experiments (carried out by human experimenters) is displayed on the y-axis for either dry or fresh nuts. The boxplot shows the upper and lower quartile with the median presented by the thicker horizontal line. The whiskers present the maximum and minimum range of the data (excluding outliers). The circle shows an individual outlier.
