Deletion of GPR30 improves glucose homeostasis and insulin sensitivity in female mice fed a HFD.
(A) Non-fasting blood glucose (NFBG) and (B) Fasting blood glucose (FBG) levels were measured at indicated weeks of HFD feeding. Glucose (C) and insulin (D) tolerance tests were determined at 22 and 23 wks, respectively. Plasma insulin (E) and leptin (F) levels in overnight fasted mice after 23 wks on HFD were measured by enzyme immunoassay kits. HOMA-IR was calculated as stated in the “Methods” section (G).
