A model of Stat signaling attenuation in the nucleus.

Stat phosphorylation and transcription are activated by V. anguillarum, followed by induction of AMP (CruI-1, CruI-5, ALF-A1, ALF-C1, ALF-C2) expression. βArr1 interacts with TC45 to dephosphorylate Stat in the nucleus. Thus, the TC45/βarr1 complex promotes Stat dephosphorylation to inhibit Stat transcription activity, thereby attenuating AMP expression in the nucleus.
