(A,B) Cardiomyocytes were transfected with pcDNA-H19 and/or pcDNA-VDAC1 prior to exposure to high glucose (30 mmol/L) and the expression of VDAC1 was analyzed using real-time PCR and Western blot. (C) Cardiomyocytes were stained with Annexin V/PI and the apoptotic rate was determined by flow cytometry. *P < 0.05.
