Inhibition of PLD1 activity induces adipogenic differentiation.

(a,b) 3T3-L1 cells were differentiated in the presence of 5 μM VU0155069 at the initiation of differentiation for eight days. Cells were either (a) fixed and stained with Oil Red O and quantified for lipid content, or (b) lysed and analyzed by western blotting. (c,d) 3T3-L1 cells were induced to differentiate and 5 μM VU0155069 was added on day 4 of differentiation for four days.
