(A) Forward and side scatter evaluations were used to generate the analysis gate (left panel). The upper right panel shows negative controls stained with PE- and FITC-labelled IgG isotype controls. The lower right panel contains cells stained with anti-CD34-FITC and anti-VEGFR2-PE. The percentage of the population that expressed the indicated antigens CD34+ and VEGFR2+ is shown in each quadrant. (B) The incidence of CD34+ VEGFR2+ cells in whole blood from patients with malignant breast diseases (n = 27), those with benign breast diseases (n = 19), and healthy controls (n = 10).
