From: Coastal leatherback turtles reveal conservation hotspot

Daily locations (hollow circles) of 7 post-nesting leatherback turtles that were tracked by satellite from the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa to foraging areas in the Sofala Banks, Mozambique.
These 7 individuals were tracked for between 91 and 209 days after their final nest. Turtle locations are overlaid onto a map of Net Primary Productivity for the month of Apr 2012. Turtles took up residence in the shallow waters of the Sofala Banks that are delineated by the 50 m isobaths (dashed white line). Coastal foraging is far more common in the population than previously acknowledged, and could be more prominent globally than previously considered. Map was created using ArcGIS v. 10.3 (http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis).
