(A) The SPECT images were representative slices taken from registered 3D volumes. Note the difference in putamen and caudate regions. (B) Fiber tracts obtained from DTI tractography focusing on associate cortex – thalamus connection. Associative cortex was colored in red and thalamus was colored in light purple. Note the increased number of fiber connecting the regions in the PD case compared to NC case.
