(a) Overview of the sequences of the H2 peptides displaying increasingly elongated C-termini. The four peptides differed in the number of consecutive helical turns following position 683. (b) Binding isotherms of the H2 peptide epitopes to Fab 10E8 examined by ITC. The thermodynamic parameters of binding are displayed in Table 1. (c) Photo-cross-linking between Fab 10E8 and the peptides. Protein bands were detected by Coomassie-blue staining or by western blot using 4E10 antibody (top and bottom panels, respectively). The arrows point to the position of the photo-cross-linked product. (CTL, control 10E8 Fab without peptide).
