Levels of EMR2 expression on neutrophils correlate with infectious complications and could predict the mortality of cirrhotic patients.

Kaplan-Meier survival curve showed significant difference between patients with EMR2 expression levels on neutrophils greater than 25(MFI) and less or equals to 25(MFI) (54.5% vs. 78.2%, p = 0.0136). The EMR2 expression levels on neutrophils greater than 25 had a sensitivity of 86.8% and a specificity of 54.8% for predicting mortality (AUC = 0.708, P value = 0.000).
