MCF 1 is switched to the output MCF 1 by cross configuration through solid line routing paths, and at the same time, MCF 2 is switched to output MCF 2 by bar configuration through dash line routing paths. (b) The device can also be used as a ROADM for MCFs. The seven channels of the input MCF can be dropped to the MCF drop output through solid routing paths, and the data can be added simultaneously from an add MCF to the MCF output through dash routing paths.
