Schematic synthesis procedure of the self-standing reduced graphene oxide based high sulfur loading aerogel monoliths.

The synthesis combines gelling and reduction of a polysulfide containing graphene oxide dispersion into a reduced graphene oxide aerogel. The in-situ loading with sulfur allows for preparation of binder-free cathodes with very high performance.
