Genes that were induced upon activation in either naive or effector memory T cells were categorized into 3 groups: more inducible in Naïve, more inducible in TEM or inducible in both (as shown by Venn diagram). Bar graphs show the percentage of genes in each category that have gained or lost H3K4me3 in their vicinity [−20 kb from TSS, +1 kb from TSS] during transition from naïve to memory state.
