  1. Cell/ECM mixtures were inoculated into the epithelium divested (cleared) mammary fat-pads of 3–4 week old female nude mice. Glands were allowed to grow for 12 weeks. Differences in teratoma formation rates between mECM and vehicle (DMEM) treatments were significant (p = 0.0079) for both cell injection numbers (1 × 103 and 1 × 104).
