If the Vmax rates were not provided in units of nmol/h then these values were recalculated from literature reported units. aVmax and Km values were calculated using the Michaelis-Menten equation. bThe high affinity component was assumed to be equal to LAT1. NA (not applicable) indicates the amino acid was not reported to be a substrate for the transporter. The Log10 mRNA expression is taken from the reported microarray data for unfertilized X. laevis oocytes (Xenbase).
