Calculated IR spectra for two in silico constructed αS-like fibril structures: (red) a fibril composed of 10 intermolecular β-sheets laterally stacked in an antiparallel fashion with an inter-sheet distance of 7.4 and 9.0 Å, and (black) a fibril composed of 10 intermolecular β-sheets laterally stacked in a parallel fashion with an inter-sheet distance of 8.3 and 10.5 Å.
