Mice were subjected to ECC for 30 min, then treated with PBS, platelets (PLT), Tirofiban, or the combination of platelets and Tirofiban (ECC + PLT + Tirofiban, n = 10 per group). As controls, 10 mice (Naive) did not undergo any intervention. At 60 min after the various treatments, lung tissues were harvested (A), and organ function (B) and lung injury score (C) were evaluated. Lung sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin and images were captured. Scale bar, 100 μm. Data shown are mean ± SEM.
