The direction and length of a vector indicate how each lectin contributes to the two principal components for discriminating these tissue fragments, as labeled in the graph. (b) Two-dimensional HC analysis of the normalized lectin microarray data from the 182 tissue fragments. The 182 samples are listed in columns and the 45 lectins are listed in rows. The color and intensity of each square indicate the lectin signal levels in specific tissue fragments (Red, high; green, low; black, medium).
