Correlation using Spearman’s rank-order test was performed on data from bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMCs) treated with 50 μg/ml of ENMs plotted against (a) ENM hydrodynamic size (nm), (b) surface area (m2/g), (c) cell association (μg) and (d) zeta potential (mV) following exposure. Spearmans r and p-value are reported in insert. Differences were considered statistically significant at p ≤ 0.05.
