The object recognition test was performed 10 days after transient forebrain ischaemia. Percentage of preference between two objects in the familiarization phase (a) and testing phase (b) of the novel object recognition test performed in sham- or ischaemic-operated mice 5 min after vehicle or CaEDTA treatment. Data are expressed as the mean ± the standard error of the mean (n = 6). *p < 0.05, significantly different from the vehicle-treated ischaemic group.
