At protein level, intracellular overloading of miR-153 caused statistically significant downregulation of Clcn4 (a1,a2), Lamp1 (b1,b2), Cltc (c1,c2) and Slc4a4 (d1,d2), which corresponded well with the results from real-time PCR analysis at mRNA level. beta-actin served as controls for sample loading, and band densities were quantified relative beta-actin. *P < 0.05.
