SW480 cells (9 × 106 cells/mouse) were inoculated subcutaneously into the right flank of nude mice (n = 5). Treatment was initiated when tumor volumes reached approximately ~40 mm3. DFS (30 mg/kg body weight) was administered intraperitoneally 5 days a week for 21 days. On day 21, mice were sacrificed and tumor volume was measured (A). The asterisk (*) indicated significancy compared to vehicle group (p < 0.01). Body weight was measured during the experiments as an indication of toxicity (B).
