A bidirectional regulation of YY1 expression in the basolateral amygdala (BLA) of HAB and LAB mice after enriched environment (EE) and chronic mild stress (CMS), respectively (a). Transfection of mouse-neuro-2a (N2a) cells with a plasmid carrying YY1 cDNA increases YY1 expression as indicated by Western blot (b). Only cells transfected with YY1-expressing plasmid (green staining) accumulated higher YY1 (red staining) as shown using immunofluorescent microscopy (c).
