No effect of hBDNFVal66Met genotype on basal BDNF protein levels in the (a) DHP, (b) VHP or (c) mPFC. The only main effect to reach significance in these regions was a history of chronic CORT treatment in the DHP, which increased BDNF expression levels independent of hBDNFVal66Met genotype.
