The International Microphysiological Systems Society (iMPSS)
The International Microphysiological Systems Society’s mission is to advance the fit‑for‑purpose development and use of Microphysiological Systems (MPS)—human‑relevant laboratory models that combine living cells with engineered culture systems (including, but not limited to, perfused chips, organoids, and 3D microtissues) to capture key aspects of organ function, physiology, and disease.

We do this by convening a collaborative global community, promoting evidence‑based best practices and shared standards, and supporting the credible application of MPS across basic research, chemical safety testing, and medical product evaluation, while helping reduce animal use where scientifically justified.
