South Asian black carbon emissions have significantly accelerated glacier mass loss on the southern Tibetan Plateau, primarily through albedo-driven melt and precipitation reduction, resulting in a 33.7% decline in solid water storage, according to a systematic assessment of radiative and hydrological impacts from 2007 to 2016.
