While thermally- and photo-induced valence tautomerism, which is stimulated intramolecular electron transfer between a metal and coordinated redox-active ligand, has been explored extensively, less is known about pressure-induced valence tautomerism. Here, the authors report pressure-triggered valence tautomerism in a thermally inactive cobalt complex.
