Charged particles moving through a medium emit Cherenkov radiation, a phenomenon widely used in physics and engineering. This work develops a quantum framework revealing attosecond-scale phenomena, including a photon spreading time that can turn negative and an attosecond delay or advance in photon arrival, offering fresh insights into the quantum nature of light emission.
