Matsuda et al. examine size correlations in body traits of proboscis monkeys, known for their enlarged noses, and find that while body size and nose size is positively correlated in both sexes, body size is negatively correlated with canine size in males. This study serves as an example of interactions between sexual and natural selection, and morphological traits that act as weapons and adornments.
