  • Magnetic oscillators with easy plane magnetic anisotropy hold promise for spintronic applications as nanoscale microwave generators, sources of spin supercurrents and ultrafast spiking neurons. The authors report the experimental realization of an easy-plane ferromagnetic spin-Hall oscillator, where the magnetization exhibits persistent auto-oscillations with a very large precession cone angle.
