Understanding the spin dynamics in curved mesoscopic circuits has practical implications, such as in the application in quantum state engineering. Here, using a quantum network technique, the authors analyse the impact Rashba and Dresselhaus spin orbit coupling has on the topological features of spin textures for square and ring loops, classifying the observed spin textures using winding numbers and conductance patterns.
