Exciton-phonon coupling and phonon-assisted exciton relaxation dynamics in In_1-xGa_xP quantum dots

Excited state dynamics of alloyed quantum dots differ from that of binary quantum dots. Here, the authors use femtosecond spectroscopy and theoretical calculations to show that alloying tunes relaxation dynamics separately from traditional optical properties of quantum dots.

A growing portfolio of Ru-based single-crystal optical actuators is forging a new class of photonic materials that hold prospects for quantum technologies but complete photoconversion into each SO₂-isomeric state is rarely achieved. Ultrafast hot-hole injection modifies hot-electron dynamics in Au/p-GaN heterostructures

Photo-excited gold nanoparticles are shown to provide ultrafast and efficient hot-hole injection to the valence band of p-type GaN, substantially altering hot-electron dynamics in the nanoparticles and forming a basis to design hot-hole-based optoelectronics.
