Cebp1 and Cebpβ transcriptional axis controls eosinophilopoiesis in zebrafish

Eosinophils are innate immune cells critical for protection from parasites, but their developmental origin remains under studied. Here they analyze development of eosinophils in zebrafish and find that eosinophilic lineage commitment and differentiation are regulated by the Cebp1-Cebpβ axis.

Valence-engineered catalysis-selectivity regulation of molybdenum oxide nanozyme for acute kidney injury therapy and post-cure assessment

Nanozymes can mimic the activity of natural enzymes but are limited by poor reaction selectivity due to the lack of enzyme-like molecular recognition units as in natural enzymes. Here, the authors present a mild oxidation valence-engineering strategy to modulate the valence states of Mo in Pluronic F127-coated MoO_3-x nanozymes and show they can exhibit exclusive catalase- or peroxidase-like activities.

Biomimetic α-selective ribosylation enables two-step modular synthesis of biologically important ADP-ribosylated peptides

ADP-ribosylated peptides are important molecular tools, however, the lack of effective synthetic methods hinders the access to their complex structures. Structure-guided development of YEATS domain inhibitors by targeting π-π-π stacking

An inhibitor of the YEATS domain was developed by targeting a unique π-π-π stacking in the YEATS–Kcr recognition. An ENL YEATS-selective inhibitor, XL-13m, helps probe the YEATS-dependent role of ENL in the leukemogenic transcription program.

The authors report an improved genome assembly of G. arboretum and resequencing of 243 diploid cotton accessions. GWAS and QTL-seq identify a number of candidate loci that associate with seed oil content, disease resistance and yield traits in cotton.
