Compared with intramuscular vaccine, intranasal vaccination has easier administration and local responses, but efficient antigen delivery presents an obstacle. Here the authors test an intranasal subunit vaccine fused to albumin to facilitate FcRn-mediated trans-mucosal antigen transport and demonstrate protective immunity in mouse models.
