Follicular regulatory T cells restrain kidney allograft rejection in mice by suppressing alloreactive B cells

Follicular regulatory T (Tfr) cells modulate germinal center T and B cell responses, but how Tfr may control allograft rejection is still unclear. Here the authors show, using mouse kidney allograft rejection models, that Tfr suppresses the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and alloreactive antibodies from alloreactive B cells to dampen graft rejection

Progressively differentiated T_FH13 cells are stabilized by JunB to mediate allergen germinal center responses

T_FH cells that express IL-13 are associated with high-affinity IgE responses, but factors controlling their development, transcriptional programming and exact function have remained unclear. Here, Chandrakar et al. find that the transcription factor JunB is required for T_FH13 cell maintenance and that T_FH13 cells producing IL-21 drive broad germinal center responses to allergen-specific IgG and IgE.
