Neo-adjuvant pembrolizumab in stage IV high-grade serous ovarian cancer: the phase II Neo-Pembro trial

While the emergence of immune checkpoint inhibitors has improved cancer patient outcomes, efficacy in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is limited. Here, the authors report a phase 2 clinical trial investigating immune activation and efficacy of neoadjuvant pembrolizumab administered after one cycle of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with untreated stage IV HGSOC.

Immune checkpoint blockade has become standard care for patients with recurrent metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here the authors present the results of a non-randomized phase Ib/IIa trial, reporting safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant nivolumab monotherapy and nivolumab plus ipilimumab prior to standard-of-care surgery in patients with HNSCC. .
