Amblard et al combine the manipulation of H2O2 levels with the use of a H2O2 sensor to show that altering endogenous H2O2 levels affects the distribution of the midbrain pattering factor Engrailed 2 in Zebrafish during tectum development. They also find that Engrailed 2 internalization increases H2O2 levels suggesting a feedback mechanism.
