  • A facile light-triggered doping strategy involving a series of inactive photoactivable dopants is described that facilitates tunable regionally controlled n-doping of organic semiconductors, resulting in stable patterning of the doping profile at record high resolutions.

  • Total mesorectal excision (TME) for rectal cancer can require partial resection of Denonvilliers’ fascia (DVF). Here the authors report the secondary outcomes of a randomized trial to evaluate the safety and effect of DVF preservation during laparoscopic TME on postoperative urogenital function and oncological safety in male patients with mid-low rectal cancer.

  • Glioblastoma (GBM) is characterized by local and systemic immunosuppression, showing limited responses to immunotherapies. Here the authors describe the design of a nanoplatform composed of the lymphopenia alleviating agent cannabidiol and the lymphocyte recruiting cytokine LIGHT, promoting anti-tumor immune responses in GBM preclinical models.

  • 2D magnetism offers the prospect of ordered and controllable magnetic states at reduced dimensions and there is a desire to obtain materials which can realise these properties at room temperature. Here, the authors use first-principles calculations to demonstrate that a family of 2D FenGeTe-based ultrathin films with varying Fe content can exhibit a range of magnetic properties at elevated temperatures.
