First-line cadonilimab plus chemotherapy in HER2-negative advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma: a randomized, double-blind, phase 3 trial

In a prespecified interim analysis of the randomized, double-blind phase 3 COMPASSION-15 trial, patients with advanced HER2-negative gastric/GEJ cancer treated with the anti-PD-L1/CTLA-4 bispecific Ab cadonilimab plus chemotherapy showed significantly improved overall survival compared with patients treated with placebo plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment.

Direct conversion of methane to formaldehyde and CO on B₂O₃ catalysts

Partial oxidation of methane to value-added C₁ products remains challenging due to the favorable formation of fully-oxidized CO₂. Here, the authors show supported B₂O₃ catalysts with tri-coordinated BO₃ units as the active site are highly selective in oxidizing methane to HCHO and CO.

Confined Cu-OH single sites in SSZ-13 zeolite for the direct oxidation of methane to methanol

High yields of methanol are difficult to achieve with direct oxidation of methane to methanol. Here the authors report a high methanol space-time yield which is attributed to the confinement effect of 6-membered ring voids and the isolated Cu-OH single sites in SSZ−13 zeolite.

Hydrogen spillover assisted by oxygenate molecules over nonreducible oxides

Spontaneous migration of H-atoms from metal particles to a nonreducible oxide support is generally limited by thermodynamics. Here, small oxygenate molecules are found to act as effective H-carriers to promote this process and lead to much improved hydrodeoxygenation rates on Pt-Fe/SiO₂ catalysts.
