Defect-tolerant electron and defect-sensitive phonon transport in quasi-2D conjugated coordination polymers

Thermoelectric materials are required to be electrically conducting while thermally insulating, which can be challenging to achieve. Here, the authors report a thermoelectric transport regime with defect tolerant charge transport but defect intolerant heat propagation in two-dimensional coordination polymer films.

Strong angular and spectral narrowing of electroluminescence in an integrated Tamm-plasmon-driven halide perovskite LED

By exploiting Tamm plasmon modes, Ooi et al. report highly directional and enhanced electroluminescence in quasi-2D perovskite LEDs with angular FWHM of 36.6° and spectral FWHM of 12.1 nm. The photonic platform is versatile and tuneable across the visible spectral range with directionality up to 40°.

Bright and stable perovskite light-emitting diodes in the near-infrared range

Perovskite LEDs with exceptional performance at high brightness are demonstrated achieving an operational half-lifetime of 32 hours, an important step towards commercialization opening up new opportunities beyond conventional LED technologies, such as perovskite electrically pumped lasers.

A three-stage solution-based cleaning technique can increase the room-temperature mobility and reduce the hysteresis of organometal halide perovskite transistors by decreasing the surface defects in the perovskite films.
