While the electronic strong coupling with radiation field is known to modify the photophysics of molecular complexes, this is often attributed to kinetic effects and energy changes. Here, the authors observe photophysical properties of Chlorin e6 trimethyl ester (Ce6T) molecules reflecting instead the modified intermolecular interactions resulting from light-matter strong coupling.
