Naitow et al. report the structure of a picorna-like plant virus, apple latent spherical virus at 2.87 Å resolution by single particle cryo-EM. The cryo-EM map reveals unique structures that stabilize the capsid frame, and images reveal genome leakage from the protrusion of subunits, giving insight into the proliferation of this virus.
