Regional sea level around the Sunda Shelf and Singapore rose at rates of up to 15 mm per year during rapid ice melting events between 14.5 and 9 thousand years ago, faster than expected by 2150 under a moderate emissions scenario, suggest reconstructions from geology and instrumental records.
