The authors show that in C. elegans, Vitamin B12-driven changes in neuronal methionine cycle trigger a neuron-gut signalling axis, involving serotonin and neuropeptide secretion that modulate stress tolerance, behaviour, and longevity through the activation of p38-MAPK in the gut.
